Climbing Sierra

Climbing Sierra In-Class Assignment

For this project, I used Adobe Photoshop to create a composite image by replacing the climber’s face with a dog’s face and adjusting different elements to make the image look realistic. The goal of the project was to understand how layers, masking, and adjustment tools can be used to combine multiple images into one final edit.

One of the most important parts of this project was learning how to properly use layer masks. I had to carefully align the dog’s face with the climber’s head and mask out the unnecessary parts so that the image blended naturally. I also used tools like the Spot Healing Brush to smooth transitions and make the composition look more realistic. In addition, I applied adjustment layers like Hue/Saturation and Color Balance to change the colors of the helmet and equipment so everything matched visually.
