B&W to Color

 B&W to Color in Photoshop

For this project, I used Adobe Photoshop to transform a black-and-white photograph into three different color versions using different color schemes. The goal was to learn to color by using masking techniques.

One of the most important parts of this project was learning how to use masks correctly. Masks allowed me to carefully paint into selected areas while maintaining clean edges (tried to) and separation between elements.

Technically, the project required the use of selection tools, layer masks, and brush tools to apply color precisely. At times, I found the process challenging because remembering the correct steps and tools in Photoshop was difficult. I got frustrated while working on it, but that challenge also helped me better understand the program and improve my workflow.

Overall, this project helped me develop a stronger understanding of the basis of color theory and masking techniques.
